Shaun Williams and Peter Parris have worked on various building projects in and around Auckland for many years occasionally assisting one another when extra labour was required. Having developed a great respect for each others strengths and skills in 2015 they decided to amalgamate and form a new building company named Parris and Williams Building Contractors Limited.
Shaun is a qualified tradesman and completed his carpentry apprenticeship with a well known and respected Auckland building company working on high quality, architectural homes on Auckland’s prestigious North Shore. On the completion of his apprenticeship he decided to go out on his own forming his own building company “Shaun Williams Construction Limited”. In a very short time he managed to build a reputation for quality and reliability building new homes, alterations and bathroom refits.
Shaun is in a long term and stable relationship with his partner René. Together they recently purchased their first home at Snell’s Beach north of Auckland. Shaun is a keen fisherman and rarely misses a weekend out on the water with his boat. He is also busy in his spare time along with René doing the ‘Kiwi thing’ renovating their own home.
Pete completed a five year apprenticeship as a carpenter and joiner in the UK and shortly after he gained his qualifications decided to emigrate and apply his new found skills in New Zealand. On arrival in NZ Pete worked as a labour only contractor. Then graduating to set up his own building company which he successfully operated for many years.
During the collapse of the industry during the mid to late eighties Pete was offered the position managing the production of a timber processing company, which amongst other things included the manufacture of pre-nailed frames, trusses, glue laminated Beams, and timber machining.
Following this Pete managed the production of a small sawmill and timber treatment plant. Pete has therefore has an enviable knowledge base and wide experience within the industry that gives him a huge advantage over his competitors.
In 2002 Pete decided to return to his “roots” and set up Superior Carpentry and Building Services Ltd. which has gained an enviable reputation for reliability, quality workmanship, and customer service.
Pete is married to Jeanette and is based in Hobsonville, North West Auckland Both Pete and Shaun believe that the driving force behind their new company is to ‘always achieve for their clients better than they could have reasonably expected’
