The original pool was placed very close to the family room as the slope of the section was severe necessitating the pool to be close to the house.

The Westhead House has become an oasis to which the owners return, to escape from the pressures of everyday living, commuting, and working in Auckland’s busy suburbs.

The requirement was for a summer house that would provide a balance with the main house and a previously built apartment on a wide section overlooking Westhaven Marina.

I had a major problem in my house when a hot water pipe gave way while I was in the South Island and my entire 2 Storey dwelling was inundated with hot water/steam for an extended period. Damage was huge and took 8 months to repair and refurbish. My first telephone call when hearing of the disaster was to Peter Parris.
